So 2020 is almost over, and we won’t lie, we are kind of relieved that it is. Fingers crossed we do hope that next year will be a whole lot better for all of us and the world. As for fashion trends, 2020 didn't seem to be that bad actually, with its bright colors, and casual styles that were more inclined towards freedom and comfort. 2021 looks quite bright too and today we’re gonna look at some super fashion trends you can expect in the year to come.
So without further ado, let’s dive right into it.
Working from home is the trend now so comfort is the most valued item these days. And knits is the way to go. Even designers are leaning towards knit workwear even, coz why not?! Why would you compromise style for comfort. Bright colors and pastels could well be the trend next year with people still working from their home offices. So guys, get yourselves some beautiful knitwear and get dressed up for work again.
Bright colors were in last year too and it seems like they are here to stay. Don't be afraid to sport beautiful neon prints and bold hues on anything, be it clothing, accessories or shoes. Florals and all kinds of designs with colors that ‘pop’ are totally gonna be in next year. Just think about this, don;t you feel joyous and happy when you look at something nice and bright. So do spread some joy next year with some eye catching bright colors. We’re fans of it!
Jeans, though considered staples, weren't considered fashionable or trendy per say until now. They were definitely worn but were totally out of runways and fashion weeks. And some of us even considered jeans uncomfortable. Since freedom and comfort were given top priority, people had mixed opinions about wearing jeans.
But next year they seem about to make a comeback. Not just jeans, but denim is about to make that comeback. So it’s definitely time to get those denim shirts, jackets, skirts, jeans and what not, out of your closets. Coz your weekend wear is about to get fashionable. We can just imagine the relief some of us might be feeling because there’s no better way to be up to date with trend while also being on budget
Florals and feminine prints were a thing in 2020 and they may very well be a trend next year too. Bright florals like we said earlier are also gonna be worn a lot on runways in 2021. And anything floral would be fashionable, be it dresses, tops, skirts or pants. Even jewelry and accessories with floral designs would be trendy.
Nothing brings out elegance like floral prints so we do have a feeling this trend might be here to stay.
So if you’re a lover of bold floral prints don't be afraid to wear them all year round even. And as for minimalist florals, haven’t they always been IN?
We have talked about long chains before and how versatile they are. They’ve been trendy for a long while now, ever since, freedom began to be emphasised in the fashion world. These days there’s no such thing as one style fits all. If you feel good and if your outfit makes you look good that’s all that matters. So if you’re a lover of long chains and chunky jewelry, wear them anywhere and everywhere next year too because they are about to be the trend in 2021. Not that they weren’t before, like we said, they have been trendy for a while now and they might just be here to stay.
Here’s a bonus trend for 2021 coz we just had to include this in our list. Loose pants have been trendy last for a couple of years now. Especially paired with tight tops that give you that elegant, chic look. They are definitely gonna be In next year too, coz like we said, comfy and stylish is most likely to be the trend for the coming year. Any sort of loose pants would be trendy so don't be afraid to get creative and get yourself anything you love.
Looking at all these trends, we have a feeling we might be able to combine some of these together, like loose pants in floral prints with a tight top, a simple one with a long chain for accessories.
Alright so that brings us to the end of our list. We just wanted to say that this is just a guide. We’re huge fans of freedom and comfort here at Navinee, so there's really nothing you can or cannot wear. Like we were saying before, don’t be afraid to wear what you love and what you feel comfortable in, coz as the years go by there is more and more emphasis on comfort and on wearing what looks good on YOU rather than what's in style.
So keep an eye out for trends but don’t compromise on what matters most to you.
